Working and living in Port Renfrew

Port Renfrew is a remote west coast community known for its powerful surf, old-growth forests, fishing, and access to iconic trails like the Juan de Fuca Trail.

It’s a place where people come to unplug from city life and reconnect with nature. Many enjoy being on the water before or after work, exploring trails on weekends, or trading busy commutes for quiet, coastal living. If you value a slower, more intentional pace of life, strong community connection, meaningful work, and time outdoors, Port Renfrew offers a unique and rewarding experience.

Staff housing options may be available and are negotiable, which can support those relocating from outside the community.
