On behalf of our client, Allied Blower and Sheet Metal, we are searching for a Payroll & Accounting Coordinator to join their team in Surrey, BC. Since 1974, Allied Blower has gained a solid reputation as a leading air system expert in Canada. They supply dust and particulate extraction and pneumatic conveying systems for industrial applications. They offer a wide range of products and services and turnkey systems with proven technology. Allied Blower works with its customers and technology suppliers to find the best solution for specific requirements and develop solutions through close collaboration with engineering services, extensive manufacturing capabilities, and local installation.
Reporting to the Controller, the Payroll & Accounting Coordinator is responsible for managing the full payroll cycle for over 100 employees, including salaried and unionized staff across multiple jurisdictions, as well as supporting benefits administration. Approximately 70 percent of this role is focused on payroll processing and related activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies, collective agreements, and applicable government regulations. The remaining 30 percent of the role supports core accounting functions, including period end close activities, account reconciliations, investigation of variances, and coordination with internal teams and external service providers. This position serves as a key point of contact for payroll related inquiries and contributes to the overall accuracy and integrity of the organization’s financial records.
