Canadian Portable Structures is a well-established Canadian manufacturer based in Burlington, Ontario, specializing in modular panel systems and custom portable office structures for major retailers and industrial clients across North America. We are seeking a dependable and self-driven Bookkeeper to manage full-cycle accounting and office administration. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.


YOUR DAY TO DAY:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and quarterly balance sheets
  • Generate ad hoc sales and financial reports
  • Enter labour hours from timecards into QuickBooks Online
  • Process payroll using Ceridian Powerpay
  • Track payments and job statuses using spreadsheets
  • Support compliance and audit preparation
  • Answer main phone line and greet visitors
  • Coordinate with sales staff on job files and invoicing
  • Liaise with production supervisor on purchase orders and inventory
  • Maintain front office operations and assist with general administrative tasks

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Strong Knowledge of QuickBooks Online (required)
  • Experience with Ceridian Powerpay (preferred)
  • Strong Excel and spreadsheet management skills
  • Familiarity with EFT systems
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Payroll processing experience is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
  • Friendly, collaborative, and adaptable to a casual, team-oriented culture
