We are seeking a Controller to join our team in a newly created role. This is a unique opportunity to build the finance function from the ground up, establish processes, and play a key role in shaping the organization’s financial foundation.
YOUR DAY TO DAY:
- Lead the development and oversight of CF’s financial management functions
- Design and implement monthly financial reporting practices, including the preparation and presentation of financial statements
- Streamline accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to support efficiency and accuracy
- Assist with the design and implementation of an inventory management system
- Develop and maintain financial policies, controls, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations
- Partner with leadership to build financial visibility, support decision-making, and align financial activities with budgets and timelines
- Build frameworks to collect, analyze, and consolidate financial data to inform strategic planning and business decisions
- Lead the coordination of external audits and establish processes to support ongoing regulatory reporting requirements
- Design and drive budgeting, forecasting, and procurement processes to support organizational growth
- Continuously assess, refine, and implement accounting practices and internal controls to align with evolving business needs
- Identify, develop, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational performance
- Contribute to building a positive, collaborative, and high-performing finance function as the team grows
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (or in progress) is highly desirable
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to apply them in a growing and evolving environment
- Experience in, or a strong interest in, building, improving, or streamlining financial processes and systems
- Comfort working in environments with evolving structures, where initiative and problem solving are key
- Proficiency in accounting software, with the ability to evaluate and implement tools that support scalability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and hands-on approach
