The role will oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, financial statements, banking relationships, and drive efficiencies and operational rigor across the organization. The Director will be a key partner to operations and play a central role in professionalizing and maturing the finance function.

  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Maintain and develop banking relationships, including handling FX and cash management.
  • Work closely with Operations leadership to embed financial discipline into daily decision‑making, partnering on budgeting, costing, cash flow, and working capital management while driving shared accountability for operational and financial performance.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Support and implement process improvements, automation, and adoption of new technologies within the finance function.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to support business growth and professionalization.
  • Take ownership of financial initiatives and proactively address challenges without waiting for direction.
  • Review and streamline financial processes to reduce overlap and improve accuracy.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Professional accounting CPA designation required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8–15 years of senior management experience, serving in a director or controller capacity.
  • Experience in a small to mid-sized, family-owned or entrepreneurial company.
  • Hands‑on leader who takes ownership, drives results, and is a proven builder of organizations transitioning from family‑run to professionally managed.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a small finance team.
  • Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial statements.
  • Experience managing banking relationships and foreign currency (FX) transactions.
  • Manufacturing or food industry experience (ideally food, but general manufacturing considered).
  • Demonstrated initiative, proactivity, and ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and committed to developing others.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:

  • Competitive salary.
  • Performance based bonus structure
  • Health, dental and optical benefits.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development.
  •  Supportive and collaborative work environment.
